Melissa Deven is an Associate Portfolio Manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
Mrs. Deven has been with the FHLBank Chicago for 10 years and uses her financial industry
knowledge and understanding of the fixed-income market to benefit the members she serves.
Melissa also assists the team through her data analysis and visualization skills to develop
strategies for member institutions to better serve their needs. Prior to this role, Mrs.
Deven was a Director in the Member Strategy and Solutions group. Previous to that, Mrs. Deven
worked on the Member Transactions Desk at the FHLBank Chicago and on the Collateral
Operations and Safekeeping groups at the Bank.
Mrs. Deven received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2012 and MBA in
2016 from Indiana University. Mrs. Deven is currently in a coding bootcamp at Northwestern
University.
Additionally, Mrs. Deven completed the Mujeres de HACE program in spring 2020 – geared to
empower high-potential Latina professional to succeed professionally and thrive personally
while providing insight, access, and professional development.
In August 2021, Mrs. Deven joined the Chicago Auxiliary Board as Treasurer in order to
continue supporting HACE. As Treasurer, Mrs. Deven is responsible for the management and
tracking of all funds raised and allocations.
